Firefox 98 (I think) introduced some changes to the behaviour of the download tray.

By default it opens when a download completes, which can interfere with whatever you happen to be doing at the time (which I found mildly annoying).

You can disable this behaviour by setting a flag in about:config (with no promises that it will be supported in the future) by setting browser.download.alwaysOpenPanel to false.

@ansuz I love this change, since my Download directory is ephemeral anyway, it is max one click more when I'd want to open the file and it is always already in the Downloads dir predictably.
